In an exclusive interview with NBC Insider, Mandy Moore revealed how her and Milo Ventimiglia, who plays her TV husband Jack, approached this iconic moment.
“It was a fight that was several years in the making,” Moore explained. “We wanted to make sure that all the emotions were felt by the audience, so we rehearsed for about a week leading up to filming.”
Moore went on to say that the two of them wanted to make sure they were both in the same emotional space before filming the fight. “We both had to be completely in the moment and feel the anger and frustration that the characters were feeling.”
Ultimately, the fight scene was a testament to the incredible chemistry between Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia. “It took a lot of trust and understanding between us to make sure that the scene was as powerful as it was,” Moore commented. “This is something that I'll never forget.”
